FINAL MAJOR PROJECT
for my final project i chose to promote the rspca in canterbury as i felt the current campaign was weak and not done to high standards. i therefore researched into the local animal centre and visited there to gather research for my project, my finals consist of animals that are at the centre but using silhouettes, this gave me the idea to use a camouflage pattern within my work here are some examples of what i accomplished for my final pieces.

GATORADE DESIGN
For my packaging project i chose to Re-Design Gatorade's Packaging, my idea was to look at the history of gatorade and show it through the packaging, after i had researched gatorades history i chose to take it back to its roots, hence the slogan (back to the roots) i included The Florida Gators Emblem which is an american football college team because the assistant coach and some physicians came up with gatorade in 1965 and therefore was discovered by the team, i feel my design shows an iconic feature in gatorades history and i also felt it has to be shown more often.

WEB DESIGN
Creating Web Designs using a Six column grid - Photoshop.
During my class at college today i was learning how to create and use a grid, i created a grid by applying rulers and a margin. The rulers help to seperate the columns so i could apply my designs, i had to make sure my images were of the right size and that my text boxes were the same width as each column, in some areas i have chosen to overlap some of my text boxes to improve my layout designs.
These layouts represent a gallery page of a website, this will include two large images aswell as six small images contained in the six blue boxes the other boxes represent text such as a heading or website name or information about the website or the images.

FILE FORMATS / WEB
HTML - HyperText Markup Language is the main language that displays websites/pages or other information placed on the web. HTML is written in elements such as angled brackets like ( <html> )
html comes in paired tags such as <h1> and </h1>.
This is an example of an html format using tags and brackets :
<a href="http://www.w3schools.com">This is a link</a>
CSS - Cascading Style Sheets is used to describe the look and formatting of a document that is written in markup language. It supports the application of web pages written in HTML.

Today i have been continuing with my web project and we have been
looking at file formats. We have been looking at these formats
FILE FORMATS
What is a .JPG ?
A jpg is a compressed colour image that can be reduced to about
5% of the original size but detail can be lost during the compression
causing the image to look pixelated.
What is a .TIFF ?
Tiff files can be any resolution and can also be black and white,
grey and scale and also colour. It supports high quality images.
What is a PNG ?
PNG is a file format that supports palette-based images. Creates
larger photo images than a jpeg.
What is a GIF ?
GIF Files are formats that can shrink the size of the files without
reducing the visual quality of the file.
What is a PDF ?
PDFs allow files to be sent to other applications or computers without
becoming damaged and they also keep the quality intact.

Visit to Borough Market - Sep 2012
On thursday 20th september we went on a trip to visit borough market and the southbank area. whilst visiting the market we had a meeting with a representative of the market, kate howell and she told us some information on the market and told us how many customers they can get on an average day, she also gave us a information pack with various posters and flyers from 2010 and 2012. after our meeting we were allowed to spend an hour touring the market taking pictures, trying the food and asking the traders some questions about their food and they come to borough market to sell it. once we had finished at borough market we visited the tate museum, whilst walking we walked past the globe theatre, once inside the tate we had to take photographs of work we liked and collect information such as leaflets and maps . after visiting the tate modern we entered the bankside gallery and this was full of prints and illustrates, we also took pictures and collected leaflets. we then walked to the oxo tower to see the ampersand in the middle, next along was the skate park that was full from top to bottom in graffiti, this allowed us to get some really shots on our camera, the second to last part of the trip was viewing the punk art piece 'someday all the adults will die' the final part was visiting the london eye.

Today i had to create a website using codes and keytags these would help seperate the page into headings, subheadings and paragraphs aswell as learning how to change fonts and colours of fonts in the process. I also had to create a ink to a website and links between images.
I have taken a screenshot of an unstyled version of my website:
Here is another screenshot of my website using colours and enlarged text:

HTML : HYPER TEXT MARKUP LANGUAGE
<P> : DISPLAYS A PARAGRAPH OF TEXT

Here is my final poster I designed to promote Peace One Day which is a organisation that encourages a global truce for one day. that day is the 21st september. My idea came from research and various thumbnail designs i created. i then had a group discussion with my classmates vicky and Becca where we decided which designs were the most successful, my research on peace one day and symbols of peace helped with my design as i needed to look at doves and a certain position for the dove i also needed to find out the website address aswell to include on my poster. overall i am happy with my outcome as i really like the dominating message i have produced aswell as the pattern in the background.

Inspired by these Two Illustration Artists
My Style Of Illustration I am Interested in and want be involved with.
Becoming an illustrator is my dream and i would like to cover many aspects of illustration, my main style i would like to be a profession in is digital illustration as i like the way you could draw a design or image and then retouch it on the computer programmes such as photoshop with many techniques and methods.
I would like to create many designs ranging in cartoon designs and realistic designs I have looked at various illustrators with felix laflamme's becoming a huge inspiration into the style of work i would like to develop. he is a digital illustrator that creates designs for bands such as 'bullet for my valentine' and also creates many other pieces of work such as his famous fugly mugs.
Below is a piece of his work that i like the most and also a link to his website.
I was also browsing a illustration website with various illustration artists on it and found a digital piece of work from an illustrator named Tianyian wang who looks to have used photoshop to finish up a drawing of 'Wayne Rooney'. I liked this piece because it looks like he could've used a bit of paint aswell in the process.

| This is one of my favourite pieces of laflamme's work as it shows realism and cartoon at the same time. i think the use of colour is well thought out and makes the violin stand out. |

| whilst i was looking at this piece of work i noticed the effect of the shading being used in blocked colour and shapes i think this works really well as no shading would just create a cartoon image. |
